US West Coast 17th – 29th March 2025 - full / waitlist open
The Aviation Society are delighted to announce a 11 days trip to the US West Coast last visited by the Society 10 years ago in 2014. The trip will run from Monday 17th March to Friday 28th 2025.
We depart Manchester on the morning of the 17th March to the US West Coast where we will be staying 3 nights at Phoenix Sky Harbour Airport, 3 nights at Los Angeles International Airport & 3 nights Las Vegas McCarran Airport staying at conveniently located airport hotels. We will collect vehicles which will enable us to visit as many Airports / boneyards / museums etc. as time allows around the various areas. This trip is designed for both photographers and spotters alike and will offer good opportunities over the course of the trip. We return to Manchester on the 29th March. The exact itinerary of the trip has not yet been confirmed but once known will be emailed to all members who will have the option of withdrawing from participation if they are not happy with the details.
The price of this 11 days trip is £2289 which includes all flights, accommodation (on a bed & breakfast basis and 2 persons sharing) and car hire. Single room occupancy will require a supplement of around £600 and must be requested at time of booking. Places on this trip are strictly limited to TAS members and their immediate family who must all be over 18 years of age.
Booking – members wishing to secure a place on this trip can be done one of 2 ways. Either by sending a cheque for the non-refundable deposit of £500 made payable to “The Aviation Society” to the address below and include your TAS membership number, email address and telephone number for confirmation. Please also enclose an SAE. Alternatively, please send an email to john_wood11@sky.com (with similar details) requesting a place on the trip and TAS bank details will be given once your place is confirmed so a bank transfer for £500 can be made. Frankfurt 5th – 9th June 2025 - full / waitlist open
The Aviation Society are delighted to announce a 5-day European break to Frankfurt running from Thursday 5th June to Monday 9th June 2025, somewhere TAS has not visited for a number of years and not since the new runway has been built.
We depart Manchester on the morning of the 5th June flying directly to Frankfurt where we will be staying at the Intercity Hotel Frankfurt Airport which is located on the south side, close to the old USAF base and is only a short walk to the Autobahn (Zeppelinheim) spotting location. Frankfurt is an extremely busy airport and offers both photographers and spotters alike good opportunities. Members will be free to do as they please over the next few days using the vehicles provided. Our return will be late on 9th June.
The price of this 5-day trip is just £729 which includes all flights, accommodation (on a bed & breakfast basis and 2 persons sharing) and car hire.
